My main role whilst at SABC1 was twofold. One, to rebrand the channel and two, to run the 2010 FIFA World Cup co-branding. Both required collaborations across diverse stakeholders, including agencies.
Our objective for the channel rebrand was to create a gritty, vibrant, youthful, and street-savvy look and feel in celebration of the local target market. Being South Africa's largest channel, the project had to ensure relevance whilst still instilling an inspirational and global appeal.
The final brand elements included a tweak to the logo, new on-air branding, stationery, a brand guide, social media pages and all brand templates required for TTL marketing.
